Seattle Times from the ’95 Playoff Run
The Wife’s on me to cut down on ‘all my stuff’, which includes all the Seattle Times Baseball Extra sections I set aside during the ’95 playoff run.
My collection start with the October 2, 1995 A.L Title Game, includes the iconic picture of Junior sliding home on October 9th, and it ends with the 12 page Commemorative addition on 10-19..

What is your suggestion for these newspapers?

Does anybody have any links to any of the other songs? I remember singing “Seattle Mariners Are On A Roll” to the tune of Bob Seger’s “Old Time Rock n’ Roll.” when I was a kid, and I would like to sing it again as an adult.

But I can’t find anything online.

You should take this site down because.. Mariner’s fans live on 1995 when they should be rioting outside Safeco and running Chuck Armstrong and Howard Lincoln and their cronies out of town on a rail for the absolute train wreck they’ve been at managing the Mariners since 2001. In Boston or New York they would both be ancient history. In Seattle… ahh.. no problem.. we’ll just replay 1995 again, and again, and again.

Great site. I love looking through the clips. By any chance do know where I can get an audio clip of Dave Niehaus’ “Old Time Religion” call, when Junior hit a pinch hit home run against the diamond backs on 6/19/2009. I can’t find it anywhere!

RE- 12 Sept Game vs. Minn

Dude, you have it wrong. The “pozo” chant started about 5 rows in back of 3rd base. I know I started it with a fellow NY transplant. Of the 100 or so games I have seen on both coasts that is the most memorable for many reasons. Even got myself playoff seats that year. A great season that saved baseball in Seattle.

Gawd..enough already. Its 2010! Let us all move forward and leave 95 in 95.

Yes, it saved baseball in Seatown. Yes, it was the greatest year of professional baseball this town has ever been part of.
Yes, I have my own fond memories of that awesome season.
